A degree in business computing blends a range of IT and business skills to allow students to form an interlink between IT and the world of business. Students are able to, with this knowledge, to understand the business environment within which information systems are required to perform, to determine user needs, and to create and implement IT solutions for businesses.
You’ll be able using your IT skills to help businesses run, and develop products and service that are competitive. You’ll learn to work with various IT tools, including web development, programming and databases, as well as gaining the broad IT abilities that employers are looking for such as teamwork and problem-solving.
The course is closely connected to industry, with guest lecturers from the fields of engineering and IT partners sharing their insights and working with you to provide live briefs throughout the year. You’ll also have the opportunity to participate in a work placement, which you can choose which day and time to work depending on your interests and career plans.
